Chichester college

In mid 2016, Smeg Professional provided three hood type dishwashers to Catering Equipment Support, who installed them into the teaching kitchens at Chichester College. These kitchens serve three working restaurants on-site, attended by staff and visitors during the day and for evening events. The double-skinned hood type dishwashers have have a high temperature rinse (HTR) system, integral water softener and take 500x500mm baskets as standard. They can wash between 60 and 72 baskets an hour when running at full capacity in a busy working kitchen.

Later in the year, Smeg Professional then provided an Ice Machine and undercounter Glass Washer in the ajoining bar. The Ice Machine produces 45kg of ice per 24 hours, perfect for thirsty staff and students in need of refreshement. Meanwhile the Glass Washer has a combined wash and rinse arm to improve wash results and increase the usable chamber height for tall glasses. Throughout the year, hundreds of students learn under the guidance of acomplished chefs and catering professionals. They leave the college with a working knowledge of life in a professional kitchen and catering environment. Smeg is proud to provide quality equipment and be part of the learning process for young, aspiring people joining the industry.
